Sony Mercury-Free Mini Alkaline Battery

Here is good news for those who are concerned about environmental issues. Sony today introduced five new Mercury-Free (0%) Mini Alkaline batteries that will be launched in August 2010. These “green” batteries are specially designed for everyday applications, such as watches, calculators, toys and portable game consoles. LG to launch its compact and lightweight DLP projector with LED light 'HX300G'

SEOUL, Korea (AVING) -- LG Electronics(www.lge.co.kr) launched its compact and lightweight DLP projector with LED light source 'HX300G' in Korea market.

Supporting up to 270 ANSI-lumens of brightness and XGA(1280x720) resolution, the HX300G features 2,000:1 contrast ratio, 20 dB of noise level and around 30,000 hours of LED lamp life.

It can project images from 15-inch to 150-inch screen, as well as up to 40-inch screen within the short distance of 1.1 meters. Weighing only 786 grams, it is equipped with a USB port and a HDMI slot.

Available in Black Titan and White, it comes with the price tag of 890,000(KRW).[aving]

BT planning home media tablet with video calling & apps

When is an iPad rival not an iPad rival? Why, when it’s “the telephone of the future” of course. UK telco BT stirred controversy recently by demonstrating a touchscreen tablet device at their annual strategy day, prompting speculation that they were looking to take on Apple’s iPad with a device of their own; however, according to Ian Livingston, chief executive of BT, the tablet is actually a home-centric communication device rather than a true “mobile computer”.[slashgear]

iWatch Wristwatch Concept

Designed by Italy’s ADR Studio, the iWatch displays the current time on its sleek full-color LCD screen and features an integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and several applications. The iWatch could connect with either the iPhone or iPad to interact with remote apps and data. This gadget would have a built-in Pico projector. Vestax today unveiled the Spin, which is a music mixer for the Mac. Measuring 14-inch x 9.5-inch x 1.5-inch and weighing 3.2 lbs, the gadget is actually a combination of a DJ control surface, an audio interface and a DJ software. The device connects to the MacBook or MacBook Pro via USB port allowing you to select songs from the iTunes library. Keep Your House Clean With Samsung’s Tango

If you are too busy to clean your own house, then you can let the Samsung Tango to do the task. This robot vacuum will help you clean your floors, scrub your carpets and even tidy your furniture too. The Tango comes equipped with 13 sensors, which includes a 30fps camera and a crash sensor that sends out 26 to 6000 bursts to protect it from crashes. It is actually a 3W x 2-channel speaker that comes equipped with a built-in MP3 player. You can connect the Retro Cube Mini Speaker to your iPod or PC via USB 2.0 and listen to three hours of music after charging its internal battery for about an hour. Active Media Predator X7 SSDs

Active Media has announced a new series of Predator X7 SSDs. Available in 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacities, these 2.5-inch pocket-sized SSDs are based on MLC NAND flash memory chips and provide read and write speeds of up to 230MB/s and 180MB/s, respectively. They also feature an 8-channel JM612 controller, a SATA-II 3.0 Gbps interface, a128MB of cache memory and a mini USB 2.0 port.
