Kodak will release the new Zi8 HD ultra-portable camcorder in September 2009. As a successor to the Zi6 and the Zx1, the new Zi8 comes with a larger 2.5-inch LCD, a face recognition, an image stabilization, and a 1080p HD recording. Users can also upload pictures directly to YouTube and Facebook. In addition, the camcorder has a flip-out USB arm for connection to a computer. Available in blue, red, and black, the Kodak Zi8 retails for $179 a pop. [Gizmodo]
